On Sunday, July 20, 2014 I visited my paternal Grandfather’s grave at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.  I went with my Grandmother Ann and my Dad.

There are so many graves there that we had trouble finding ours.  So my Dad and I created a post to help other family members who want to visit:   How To Find Grandpa’s Gravesite

My Paternal Grandfather’s gravestone at Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery was a little hard to find even for Grandma. How to find Grandpa’s gravesite.

Grandma’s wishes

Grandma will someday be buried with Grandpa.  She asked that the stone contain the phrase “TOGETHER FOREVER” in similar fashion to a nearby gravestone (pictured below).

We Performed a Beautiful Ceremony

Grandma led us in ceremony as we placed twelve roses one by one for each grandchild and child.  We started with the youngest grandchild, Kendall.
